laboratórios de verão 2024 — open call
laboratórios de verão — open call
Since 2015, Laboratórios de Verão have established a prominent position in supporting artistic creation in the Braga district. Over the course of nine editions, this programme created by gnration has supported more than three dozen projects and half a hundred artists. With an emphasis on the fields of image, sound, performance, interactivity, music, dance or the crossover between the areas described above, the Summer Laboratories take on an artistic residency format with a view to experimenting with new ideas and works for subsequent public presentation.
In 2023, gnration and CIAJG – Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães joined forces as promoting partners in the Laboratórios de Verão project, reinforcing the mission of both structures in contemporary culture in the region. This partnership broadens the scope of support for artists who can find a favourable context in the region to develop their artistic practice. It also invests in the work of emerging creators and innovative artistic languages of a hybrid and experimental nature.
For the tenth edition of Laboratórios de Verão, gnration and CIAJG are joining forces with SOLAR – Galeria de Arte Cinemática, expanding the project’s reach beyond the district.
