During a residency with Uganda’s Nyege Nyege collective, Johnathan Uliel Saldanha (HHY & The Machine Macumbas) teamed up with trumpeter and activist Florence Lugemwa to form HHY & The Kampala Unit. This project is a futuristic exploration that mixes dub<\/em> and techno<\/em> with traditional percussion and trance elements. For this concert, HHY & The Kampala Unit will perform live in a trio formation, in which Saldanha and Lugemwa will also be accompanied by percussion.<\/p>\n
