In other words, using art to shed light on a world that would otherwise be invisible. This conceptual framework for exploring the potential of art to uncover facts, expose wrongdoing and raise awareness of social, political and technological issues was coined a decade ago by the film director Laura Poitras (<em>Citizenfour<\/em>,<em> All Beauty<\/em> and <em>Car[bio]nage<\/em>). The talk will introduce the theme of disruption in relation to art and whistleblowing.<br \/>\nDrawing on the events and research programme at the Disruption Network Lab in Berlin, Germany, through the voice of its founder and director Tatiana Bazzichelli and the artistic work of Joana Moll, the conference traces the background to the concept of art as evidence and the impact of whistleblowing on art and culture, from the early WikiLeaks projects to the revelations of Edward Snowden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>tatiana bazzichelli<\/strong><br \/>\nTatiana Bazzichelli is the founder and director of Disruption Network Lab, a non-profit organisation based in Berlin (Germany). Since 2014 she has been exploring the intersection of politics, technology and society. Her artistic work focuses on whistleblowing, network culture, art and activism. She is the author of <em>Whistleblowing for Change<\/em> (2021) and <em>Networked Disruption<\/em> (2013).<\/p>\n<p><strong>joana moll<\/strong><br \/>\nJoana Moll is an artist, researcher and teacher. She divides her time between Barcelona (Spain) and Berlin (Germany). She is co-founder of the Critical Interface Politics research group at HANGAR (Barcelona). Her work critically explores the way techno-capitalist narratives affect machines, humans and ecosystems.
