Active in the field of electronic composition, she has been performing solo and in collaborations since 2005, when she formed Tropa Macaca with Andr\u00e9 Abel. She also co-founded the female multimedia collective Toda Mat\u00e9ria.<\/p>\n<p>At \u00d3rbita, Joana da Concei\u00e7\u00e3o premieres Magn\u00e9tica, a sound piece created to be listened to in a loop, which evokes the relationship between the spectators and the dismembered sculpture of the Venus de Milo. In his words, \u201cMagnetic are the murmurs that have gravitated around the Venus de Milo since it was torn from the Earth, that just as matter traveling through space accumulates and becomes part of a star, in a movement of accretion, so the murmurs become an integral part of this sculpted block of stone\u201d.
