On an album where light is scarce, a single violin multiplies through loops. Here, the ethereal sound of the instrument coexists with abrasive textures, in an encounter between the acoustic and the electronic. Celeste<\/em> (2025) is the debut album by Helena Silva, who began the album during a residency in Bali. Born in Barcelos and classically trained, the violinist and composer has been crossing the classical universe with experimental music since the release of her first EP, Manta<\/em> (2023). She regularly collaborates with national and international orchestras and ensembles, and has participated in albums by artists such as C\u00edcero, St. James Park, Grutera, and The Partisan Seed.<\/p>\n

For ten years, OCUPA has been keeping up with new artistic production in the fields of electronic music and digital art in Portugal. Promoted by the AUAUFEIOMAU, gnration and the Municipality of Braga, this initiative is related to and has contributed to Braga’s positioning as a UNESCO Creative City for the media arts. This year, in its tenth edition, OCUPA presents a programme of concerts, talks and installations that will take place at gnration and Casa Rol\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
