In a shared space of improvisation and reinterpretation, the duo explores sound as a means of transition between different emotional and energetic states. After a residency at gnration, as part of the artistic creation support program Trabalho da Casa, they will perform for the first time on a date that also marks the release of their first album, published by Timbuktu Records.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saxophonist, musician, and composer, Jo\u00e3o Mort\u00e1gua is one of the most acclaimed figures in new Portuguese jazz. With eight albums released, he is the leader of Math Trio and the sextet Axes, and co-leads the quartet Mazam, the trios Quang Ny Lys and Kintsugi, and the duos Stau and Calcanhar. He is also a member of Supernova Ensemble and several other groups, in addition to collaborating with artists such as Bruno Pernadas, Carlos Bica, and Jeffery Davis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Founder of Grandfather&#8217;s House and face of St. James Park, Tiago Sampaio is a composer, guitarist, and sound artist. Over the last decade, he has collaborated with TOKiMONSTA, HOLLY, FKAjazz, Conan Os\u00edris, Noiserv, Adolfo Lux\u00faria Canibal, META_, Cl\u00e1udia Guerreiro (Linda Martini), and more recently Cody XV.
