It is through dance and music that F\u00e1bio Krayze and DJ Poco tell their stories. Building bridges between Angola and Portugal, they come together at Zona Franca to develop and present Batida<\/em>. \u201cAs emigrants or children of emigrants, we want to honour the place that saw us born and the place that gave us the opportunity to become who we are,\u201d they state in the manifesto for this performance. F\u00e1bio Krayze was born in Luanda and moved to Portugal in 2002. A graduate of Escola Superior de Dan\u00e7a, he develops work in urban dance forms, particularly hip hop, house, popping and kuduro. As a performer, he is part of Marco da Silva Ferreira\u2019s pieces CARCA\u00c7A<\/em> and Fcking Future. In 2023, he created the project Musseque<\/em>, which was nominated in 2025 by the Portuguese Society of Authors for Best Choreography at the Pr\u00e9mios Autores and selected for Aerowaves Spring Forward 2026. Connected to music from an early age, Poco is a DJ and music producer. He has extensive knowledge of African music, whether through dance, instrumentals or behind the mixing desk. His repertoire includes works with Kelly Veiga, Scr\u00f3 Que Cuia, Ner\u00fa Americano, Yudi Fox and DJ Lycox.<\/p>\n

Music and dance circulate without limits in Zona Franca. The result of a partnership between gnration and Centro Cultural Vila Flor, this interdisciplinary cycle is a free territory where original music and choreographic practice unfold in a continuous and multiform dialogue. Zona Franca has already hosted encounters between Vera Mantero and Susana Santos Silva, Piny and xullaji, Jo\u00e3o dos Santos Martins with Joana S\u00e1, and Gabriel Ferrandini with V\u00e2nia Doutel Vaz.<\/p>\n
