Public presentation of Clube de Inverno (Winter Club), an informal meeting space for exploration and improvisation in the fields of sound and image. This initiative by Circuito – Serviço Educativo Braga Media Arts will be led by Larie, who is in charge of the musical side, while Ana Mariz directs the visual side.

larie

Larie was born in Brazil and currently lives in Portugal, where she moves between composition, performance and music production. She released her solo albums Voa (2016) and Lux (2019), moving fluidly between different musical universes in a work that organically fuses MPB, electronica and sound experimentation – sometimes in Portuguese, sometimes in English or Spanish. She has performed in more than twenty countries in Europe and America, collaborated with artists from various fields, including Gaya de Medeiros and Meta, and has accompanied Fado Bicha on stage since 2022.

ana mariz

Moving between cinematography and the visual arts, Ana Mariz studied film at ESTC in Lisbon, FAMU in Prague and ESCAC in Barcelona. Vigília, her first film, premiered at IndieLisboa in 2016 and, along with the documentary Infância, Adolescência, Juventude (2018), by Rúben Gonçalves, profoundly influenced her sensitivity to lighting and framing. Over the years, she has worked on several films that have been shown at festivals around the world. As director of photography, she has collaborated with filmmakers such as Leonor Noivo, Ico Costa, Marco Martins and Duarte Coimbra. Her multidisciplinary approach has led to collaborations with classical music composers Jaime Reis and Nuno da Rocha, artists Ani Schulze and Pedro Huet, theater companies SillySeason and Primeiros Sintomas and bands such as Glockenwise and Caveira. She is currently preparing several films as director of photography and a feature-length documentary as director.
