A multidisciplinary musician and artist, Polido combines personal recordings and beats with samples that draw on the history of Portuguese music and socio-political phenomena. Água ao Moinho, released in 2018 by Bus Editions, moves through excerpts from musicians José Mário Branco, Fausto Bordalo Dias and José Afonso and the documentary Cenas da Luta de Classes em Portugal (1977), by Robert Kramer. More recently, he released Hearing Smoke (2024), by Holuzam, where he once again worked with Portuguese music, with samples of compositions by Fernando Lopes-Graça and Clotilde Rosa. As well as albums and music for films – including the soundtrack for A Casa e os Cães, by Margarida Meneses and Madalena Fragoso – Polido runs the Projecto de Vida label.

In Órbita, Polido presents a sound piece that dialogues with Ana Vieira: Cadernos de montagem, challenging us to listen to this sound piece while we visit the exhibition.
