Plumas” is a Spanish word used offensively against the LGBTQIA+ community. PLUMASS reflects on this word, which only Spanish speakers have, creating an experimental portrait based on the uncapturable aspects of being that bothers and differentiates. Specialising in Communication and Gender at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Bea Saiáns researches leadership styles and power relations in human ecosystems, promoting the inclusion of LGBTIQA+ people in cinema.

After being broadcast online, PLUMASS premieres at gnration on 24 May at Cinex – Talk, watch and talk again.

This short documentary film was commissioned by Cinex, the expanded cinema programme of Braga 25 European Capital of Culture.

Órbita programme cycle is designed exclusively for the online format. New commissioned works gravitate around it and bridges are established with the on-site programme, focusing on the fields of music, art and technology.
