From music to moving images, Clube de Inverno is the perfect place to discover, explore and improvise. From acoustic-digital jam sessions to experimental laboratories, the possibilities are endless. The ninth edition of this initiative promoted by Circuito – Serviço Educativo Braga Media Arts is guided by musician Rui Maia and visual artist Mariana Vilanova. The result of this week of creation will be presented at gnration, as part of the OCUPA #10 programme, a perspective on electronic music and digital art in Braga.

Rui Maia is a Portuguese musician, producer and DJ. In 2002, he co-founded X-Wife alongside João Vieira and Fernando Sousa, taking on the keyboards and electronics. He created the solo project Mirror People, where he navigates between disco, funk and house with a retro-futuristic flavour. As a DJ, he has been active since 2004, performing at iconic venues and events on the Portuguese scene. Over the years, he has collaborated with bands and artists such as GNR, David Fonseca, Rodrigo Leão and Holy Nothing.

Mariana Vilanova is a Portuguese visual artist. Through photography, video, and multimedia installations, she explores themes and challenges of the 21st century, seeking connections with anthropology, science, and ecology. She has been exhibiting her work since 2016, with notable exhibitions including O mar que não tem litoral ( 2025), Análise de um paraíso fugaz (presented at gnration in 2023), Meteors (Solar, 2022), Solastalgia (2022), We should never grow tired of trees (2022), and Before and After Us (2021).
