The EMAP Networking Conference, the annual gathering of EMAP — the European Media Art Platform — brings together artists, curators, researchers and representatives of European institutions working at the intersection of art, technology and science.
Over the course of three days, the EMAP Networking Conference brings together different formats — presentations, talks and exhibitions — creating a meeting space for the various network participants, and between them and their partners, with part of the programme open to anyone interested in media arts. A highlight is the presentation of projects by artists selected through the 2026 EMAP open call, to be developed as part of the international residencies.
This conference serves as the launch and kick-off for the annual European residency programme, fostering dialogue between artistic practices, research and institutional contexts. As part of a network involving organisations across several European countries, this meeting contributes to the development of collaborations, the sharing of knowledge and the international circulation of projects.
Co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, EMAP is one of the leading European networks dedicated to media art, promoting the creation, production and circulation of new works through residencies, exhibitions and opportunities for critical exchange.
