dance
From a residency at gnration, Venezuelan artist Maria Inés Villasmil creates a work that emerges from body research, field walks, urban dérives and informal exchanges with people who inhabit the city. Dance is the main language, tracing how history, architecture and movement collide. In parallel, sound, through the use of field recordings, processed voice and ambient noise, becomes a co-creator, shaping the project’s sensory landscape.
Guelra is the transdisciplinary creation laboratory developed by Arte Total since 2012. It establishes itself as a space for encounter, experimentation and dialogue between art, city and community. Grounded in urban experience and memory, this laboratory explores the relationship between body, space and dance as expressions of collective memory. It is developed in the context of an artistic residency, culminating in a final public presentation.
