Armed with a hurdy-gurdy and synthesisers, BVHZ connects artefacts of medieval music to spectres of science fiction. At OCUPA, the musician presents LITURGIA, a new piece that examines how ritual and the symbolic are anthropological foundations inseparable from human nature itself. A project by Bruno Varvohza, throughout 2025 BVHZ released three works — queima impressa, triafrontes and chaos-durus-tempus — available on his Bandcamp page. In early 2026, one of his compositions was featured in the compilation Anthology Of Electroacoustic Music From Portugal (Antologia da música Eletroacúsitca de Portugal), curated by Unexplained Sounds Group, an Italian label focused on promoting experimental music from around the world.
