Mathieu Le Sourd, better known as MAOTIK, is dedicated to creating immersive environments, interactive installations, digital sculptures and audiovisual performances that arise from the intersection between art, science and technology. Much of his work is based on altering reality and manipulating the perception of space through computer-generated algorithms, audiovisual tools and graphic elements generated in real time. He often works with scientists and artists from a wide variety of fields, such as music, dance, theatre and architecture. In recent years, his work has been presented all over the world, at venues and festivals such as Mutek, Sonar, ARS Electronica, British Film Institute, Oi Futuro, Art Basel, Frieze London, FIAC Paris, Signal Festival, Miraikan Science Museum, B39 and Funkhaus. He also visited gnration with the exhibition Wavelengths of Light, created during an artistic residency at INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, as part of the Scale Travels programme.
