Contrapeso is Arte Total‘s new programme, which seeks to promote collaborative projects that link choreography with videomapping and sound installation. Bringing together international or internationally renowned artists, researchers and creators, this cycle drives contemporary artistic creation, favouring the relationship between performance art and environmental sustainability.
A multimedia artist from Águeda, Diogo Marques crosses the boundaries between art and technology through projects that integrate sound, light and programming. With a degree in Electronic Music and Music Production, he is researching Digital Media Production at the School of Applied Arts (ESART) in Castelo Branco. Inspired by science fiction ideals, he explores themes linked to communication and interaction through works such as the ENCOUNTER and ENTITY installations. In addition to this exhibition work, she is also interested in light design, the creation of multimedia and hardware systems and musical composition.
