Pedro Ricardo is a multi-instrumentalist musician and DJ from Porto who has been producing and releasing various works under different pseudonyms. Recognised for his daring and diverse sound, his work as a producer and DJ is marked by the union of funk, disco and jazz-fusion rhythms with house, techno and soulful music. In 2023, Pedro Ricardo launched his own label with Soprem bons Ventos, an album released by Soundway Records. Bringing together jazz, electronica and traditional Portuguese music, this work highlighted the musician as one of the promises of national electronic jazz.
theon cross
A visionary musician, Theon Cross has played a key role in redefining the tuba as an essential instrument in contemporary jazz, pushing the boundaries of what can be done with this instrument. A member of Shabaka Hutchings’ Sons of Kemet quartet and the British collective London Brew, Cross has a long and enviable list of collaborations, including names such as Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Stormzy, Jon Batiste, Lafawndah and Emeli Sandé. On his own, he released the EP Aspirations (2015) and has two full-lengths, Fyah (2019) and Intra-I (2021).
