ode – orquestra de dispositivos eletrónicos

ODE: Orquestra de Dispositivos Eletrónicos is a Circuito project that, since 2019, has provided musicians and non-musicians from Braga with a place to meet and share around sound exploration. This is a project open to the community, with no limits on age or musical knowledge, in 2024 under the artistic direction of musician Rui Souza. In May, ODE gave its first public performance at INDEX – Bienal de Arte Tecnologia, with visuals by students from Berklee College of Music – Valencia Campus (Spain), and in September it will perform at Braga’s Noite Branca.

Rui Souza is a composer, performer, visual artist and researcher. He studied piano and philosophy and is the founder of the Discos de Platão label. He signs his musical work as Dada Garbeck.

Circuito is Braga Media Arts’ Educational Service and makes multiple connections between creation, Media Arts and the community. Here, new technologies are the driving force behind the production, knowledge and enjoyment of art. And the activities are designed for schools, families, children, teachers, seniors, communities, professionals, amateurs, artists and anyone else who wants to join in.
