notice: change of show
For health reasons, William Tyler has cancelled his European tour, which included a visit to Braga.
Unfortunately, the previously announced concert – which would have brought together William Tyler and Ryley Walker – will not take place and will be replaced by this solo show by Ryley Walker.
Tickets already purchased for the William Tyler x Ryley Walker concert remain valid for this Ryley Walker solo show. Returns will still be accepted and can be requested by phone, email (bilheteira@gnration.pt) or at the gnration desk up to 30 working days (17 October) after this announcement.
gnration regrets this change and apologises to the public who had already purchased tickets. We look forward to seeing you.
An expert on the guitar with a remarkable ability to reinterpret the roots of American music, Ryley Walker is one of the most important names in contemporary folk music. The image of the American singer songwriter, Walker returns to gnration for a solo concert.
Combining folk with jazz and psychedelic rock, the guitarist hit the headlines with Primrose Green (2015). This work was praised by media outlets such as NPR and Uncut, and served as the launching pad for Walker who, in 2017, came to gnration for the first time to present Golden Sings That Have Been Sung (2016). Heir to Crosby, Stills & Nash, but with a hint of Dave Matthews Band – whom he honoured in The Lillywhite Sessions (2018) – the Illinois musician also has hits such as Deafman Glance (2018), Deep Fried Grandeus (2021) – with the Japanese psychedelic band Kikagaku Moyo – and Course in Fable (2021).
Challenged by gnration, William Tyler and Ryley Walker come together for a unique concert in Braga. Together they will share their songs in a show that promises to be one of the must-see moments of the last four months of 2024.
