In this conversation, three young migrants living in Portugal draw on their personal experiences to reflect on participation, memory, identity, and a sense of belonging in the public sphere. Featuring António Zaqueu (Mozambique), Luege D’Olim (Angola), and Sarina Azevedo (Cape Verde), this conversation is moderated by researcher Luiza Lins (Brazil). The dialogue stems from these young people’s participation in the Braga 25 initiative ‘O que fazemos com isto?’, which promoted critical reflection and artistic production centered on Portugal’s colonial legacy. The session aims to create a space for listening, dialogue, and sharing regarding the challenges and possibilities for young migrants’ participation in building more just and inclusive societies.
