Taking the title-question as a starting point, this conversation gathers students, researchers, and intercultural mediators to explore what it means to live between heritage and futures in construction. Grounded in three distinct positions — the university, organisations working with migrant communities, and research on culture and memory — the panel attempts to understand how inherited pasts continue to operate in the present: within individual trajectories, within structures that support or limit us, and within the cultural, social, or emotional spaces where we imagine what can still be built.
