gnration open day: femme falafel
Unlikely puns, cheeky chords and razor-sharp humour are the perfect recipe for Femme Falafel. Raquel Pimpão’s alter ego burst onto the scene with the catchy ‘Depressão’ (2022), a tongue-in-cheek song about failure set to an electrifying disco beat. After a long wait, the debut album finally arrived at the end of last year. Dói-Dói Proibido (2025) navigates between jazz, disco, pop, R&B and hip hop, with each of the ten tracks finding in absurdity and irony the antidote to the ills of the spirit and existential stagnation.
