gnration open day: rádio cacheu

On my birthday, we tuned in to Rádio Cacheu. It was born out of the neighbourhood’s summer parties, of popping round to neighbours’ houses to borrow CDs by Os Tubarões and other classics of African music, and of an uncontrollable urge to get people dancing. Now, this station’s waves reach Braga for a journey that spans from soul to funk, from samba to semba, from coladeira to funaná and from gumbé to hip hop.
