Contemporary life relies on a vast array of systems that underpin services, logistics, communication, trade and, ultimately, the convenience of a significant portion of the world’s population. In *Systems Ultra*, a book published in 2024, the British artist and writer Georgina Voss uses an analysis of these infrastructures to dissect power relations and the role of technology in defining our reality. Nicolas Maigret, too, drawing on his practice as an artist and curator, explores the dysfunctions and limitations of the technologies that structure and condition the time and world in which we live. In this session, moderated by architect and curator Mariana Pestana, Maigret and Voss present their current lines of research at the intersection of power and technology, which serve as the starting point for a wide-ranging discussion.
