Double bass player and composer Gonçalo Cravinho Lopes works between jazz and improvised, classical, and electronic music in Portugal and Europe. Born in Braga, he performs regularly as a solo artist and with his trio. One of the co-founders of OCENPSIEA, he is also the artistic director and leader of the JAM Jazz Orchestra and a member of the Fourward quartet and the xauxau dodô septet. Taking its name from a small fish that feeds on mollusks and marine plants near the rocks on the Portuguese coast, Caboz is the latest composition by the young musician, which will be presented online in a showcase recorded in the inner courtyard of gnration.
