PARAÍSO was born as the ideal place for new Afro-descendant and Lusophone music and artistic expressions. The Lusophone artistic universe can and must be one of the most important catalysts for social and cultural transformation in Portugal, a movement that has had an impact on the arts and social life of the country such as we haven’t seen in the artistic sphere for many decades.
In this new edition, PARAÍSO inhabits Theatro Circo and gnration, and for the first time goes out of doors to Livraria Centésima Página.

With a name and an attitude that carry the thirst for revolution, Mynda Guevarra claims and fights for a place for women in the Portuguese hip hop circuit. One of the most important names in the new generation of Creole rap, Mynda has earned a position of respect through irreverent lyrics that reflect her role as a woman, Afro-descendant and rapper. At PARAÍSO, the rapper presents her latest EP, Phoenix. Consisting of five tracks, this work was recorded, mixed and mastered by Katana Produções and features instrumentals by FRXH BEATS, Berlok, Zaia and StressMusik.

Combining Cape Verdean music with drill, trap, rap, R&B and Afro, Berlok has made a name for himself as one of the most sought-after and admired DJs and producers of Afro-descendant music in Portuguese. Born in Cape Verde and living in Portugal, he has worked with names such as Dino D’Santiago, Acacia Maior, Sara Tavares, StevenR, Kady, Geezy WL and Mynda Guevara. In 2023, Berlok released TERRA TERRA, his debut album, which he presents in this edition of PARAÍSO.
